The Son of the Grandmaster and the Emperor’s Hand, Ben Skywalker has “special destiny” written all over him.
The “Jade Shadow” was designed with NJO lightsaber philosophies in mind. NJO lightsabers have their origin in Kenobi’s final lightsaber, schematics of which were left for Luke Skywalker. The schematics contained details such as a trimmed down emitter matrix assembly, a throttle style surface mounted activation box, as well as extra power cells.
The result was a utilitarian weapon that prioritized battlefield durability and maintenance, abandoning the decorative and ornamental designs of the late republic era.
This lightsaber is based off of his father’s and his namesake’s weapons. Though, Ben Skywalker unknowingly crafted a weapon closest in design to his deceased cousin’s Anakin Solo.
